2020 was a year where life appeared to stand still but EVERYTHING changed. This is reflected in the rivers and landscapes of Eden and the North Pennines, where the stones and river beds are continually being bashed and altered, but still maintain their beauty. In fact, they are all the more beautiful because of this life that runs through them.
A Glint of Sunshine, nestled within areas of outstanding natural beauty, specifically aims to emphasise the aesthetic of the area and reflect a light on its beauty.
Helen’s gilded stones punctuate the landscape of Alston Moor and Kirkby Stephen, drawing our attention to key areas along key walks and to watch as nature reclaims/ creates its own space and how stones move and transform within the environment, bending to nature’s will.
