WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING?
ALATI ‘AUTUMN ON ALSTON MOOR’ EXHIBITION
This exhibition of adults and children alike was a huge success despite almost everything being against us! I exhibited three original paintings, all of Alston Moor. Power cuts across the whole of Cumbria meant we were unable to open on time, and we were very cold for a couple of days! Horrendous weather conditions, including lots of snow, meant we were very low on numbers as Alston was almost cut off, but never the less – the High Sheriff of Cumbria still made it across the moor to hand out prizes to the youngsters who entered the competition and the whole event will be repeated next year – hopefully with better weather and fully working electrics! ( I didn't win anything - this is me receiving a prize on behalf of one of the children!)
