Thames Tapestry

This painting is the smallest of the three paintings I made from a visit to Richmond on Thames. The paintings aims to capture the tapestry of life found in this vibrant part of London, where people and nature interact around the river and river banks. Painting en plein air as a starting point for my work, I am able to absorb the many aspects of a location; not just a visual view, but an experience of being in a place, the people, the traffic, the businesses, the wildlife and the river.
