The Gate

This painting was chosen by Saatchi Art Online as part of the Curators Choice collection in April 2022. It is from the garden at Les Gaigneres, Les Chapelles, Northern France, where I have a studio. It shows the wild nature of the garden and how nature has begun to claim the environment once inhabited by man. The gate is dominated by the large Yew tree that stands guard at the entrance to the large, untamed garden.
